The most important aspect when constructing a Stacking stone wall is the strength of the structure, on the other hand, the aesthetic aspect needs to blend with the nature. Stacking walls are often used as a casing or shuttering wall of a small river, stream, pond or as an outflow facility for water storage facility.

Due to heavy rainfall, the community of Schinnen opted for a durable and erosion-resistant retaining wall that blends with the environment to prevent the sagging and leaching of the slope. The finishing of the gutter was realized by placing flagstone in stamped concrete manually.
